Fredericksburg, Texas Bucket List

We’re still close enough to San Antonio to finish our San Antonio Bucket List, but now that we’ve been in Fredericksburg for a month it’s time to start a new bucket list. Here is our Fredericksburg, Texas, bucket list in no particular order.

  1. See the bats at Old Tunnel State Park. Done! August 2015
  2. Visit the wineries and breweries nearby.
  3. Visit the National Museum of the Pacific War, the Nimitz State Historic Site, the Pioneer Museum, Verienes Kirche Museum (done August 2015).
  4. Attend part of Oktoberfest.
  5. Complete the Fredericksburg walking tour.
  6. Visit Luckenbach, Texas.
  7. Visit art galleries.
  8. Climb Enchanted Rock (moved from the San Antonio Bucket List).
  9. Attend Trade Days.
  10. See the wildflowers at Wildseed Farms and buy some seeds.
  11. Eat German food.
  12. Visit Lady Bird Johnson Park.
  13. Visit LBJ Ranch.
  14. Complete at least one scenic drive.
  15. Visit Fort Martin Scott.
  16. Watch the sunset at Cross Mountain.

I’m sure we’ll be adding more as we find out more about what’s nearby. I also have a list of the state parks within a 100 mile radius. That should give us plenty to do during days off and we can also try camping again.
