Social Media Tips and Software

Social Media Scheduling Software

There are lots of different software available to assist with posting to social media. I’ve used Tweetdeck in the past and right now I’m using Hootsuite when I schedule posts. I also post directly through Facebook from my computer or I use the Pages Manager app on my phone. I also use a WordPress plug in called Social Networks Auto Poster that automatically shares new blog posts to my pages when they’re published.

Social Media Tips

I’ve been creating some posts based on Sandi Krakowski’s content map. It seems like a lot, but since I don’t have many likes on my pages yet it gives me something to offer for content and it allows some of the page fans to see the content.

I like creating headers and graphics for Facebook since that’s where I spend most of my time. I also started using the call to action option on my Facebook page and I’ve gotten a few more email list sign ups by using it.

Social Media Plan

I don’t have a plan for social media. I usually post things off and on throughout the day and sometimes schedule in blog post links and links to other bloggers I feel are helpful or entertaining to me. I’m looking forward to learning how others use social media, if they have a plan and how they’re implementing their plan.
