Bundling Ideas for eBay and Amazon Sellers

I’ve had some success with bundling items on Amazon, especially birthday party packages. Here are a few bundling ideas with items from a dollar store like Dollar Tree or Dollar General or even from the clearance aisle of the supermarket.

1. Birthday Party Supplies – You’re doing the shopping for your customer, making sure they have everything they need for a birthday party their child will love. I’ve had success with some Lisa Frank party supplies I bought on clearance. They sold out within a week on Amazon. Try to find supplies with a popular character instead of generic supplies, but if you can only find one part of a potential set – such as character plates – then fill in with a complementary generic color to complete the set. My bundles were 1 pack of 8 large plates, 1 pack of 8 small dessert plates, 1 pack of napkins, 1 set of streamers or other decoration and a table cloth if available.

2. Goodie bags for parties – Why not put together premade goodie bags and sell them as a bundle – 8 bags in each bundle? This will go long with your birthday party bundle idea and could be an additional item to sell along with the actual supplies. This could go into themes as well instead of just characters or generic party supplies. You could do a Hawaiian luau themed bags, or Mardi Gras or Halloween.

3. School supplies bundle – Most schools require the same items each year, so why not help your customers and buy these ahead of time and have the them ready for the next school year? Buy supplies on clearance or through the summer, keeping an eye out on clearance items and sales. Then bundle them together and list them on eBay or ship them into Amazon by the first of August. Look for No. 2 pencils, pencil sharpeners, large pink erasers, crayons, ballpoint pens, water based markers, spiral bound notebooks, notebook paper, pocket folders, three-ring binders, highlighters, and index cards.

4. Craft supplies bundle – This could be an add-on to your school supplies bundle. This bundle could include drawing paper, construction paper, ruler, glue sticks, tape and scissors. You could also include crayons and the water based markers in this bundle too. Some dollar stores carry other craft supplies too. You may be able to create a craft kit with enough supplies to make a specific item.

There’s no reason to just list one item at a time. Think outside the box and start making some bundles today. You never know what may take off.

Do you create bundles for eBay or Amazon? Would you buy them? Let me know in the comments or get in touch on Facebook or Twitter.
