Top 5 Favorite Online Business Podcasts

Podcasting is the wave of the future. A large podcasting event was just held here in Texas and there are lessons on podcasting popping up every time I turn around.

I’m not feeling a need to do a podcast at this time as the blog, websites and online selling is keeping me busy enough. But I love to listed to podcasts. I learn a lot and it helps pass the time when I’m doing housework or processing eBay photos. Here are my top five business podcasts.

1. Smart Passive Income Podcast. Pat Flynn is one of the most down-to-earth people in the Internet marketing world. He shows that you can have character and ethics within this type of cutthroat business. I’ve learned so much through his blog and podcast and I’m always inspired to do something new with the information I’ve learned. The last two podcasts (#122 and #123) are two of my favorites as they showcase real people making money online who are NOT in the “make money online” niche.

2. Forever Jobless. Billy Murphy offers short, inspiring podcasts on a variety of topics such as overcoming limited beliefs, launching a business and getting rid of obstacles in the way to your success. Billy is a former professional poker player and now invests in several e-commerce stores. His blog post about Expected Value blew my mind. I read it often and still don’t understand it fully.

3. Niche Pursuits. I found Spencer Haws’ site through Pat Flynn’s Niche Site Duel project. Spencer builds and monetizes niche websites and I’ve learned so much from his methods as well. It shows that everyone is different and has a different strategy and we can learn from them all. Spencer has also featured interviews on the podcasts with people who are making money in different ways besides the “make money online” niche, including a self-published author who sells on Amazon to a basketball player who’s created a huge following on You Tube.

4. Scavenger Life. This podcast was formerly called eBay Scavengers. It’s all about building a business on eBay as well as saving money in everyday life. I love how down to earth Jay and Ryanne are, how real they are and how much information they share about how they’ve built their full-time eBay business. All of their information is free, but is extremely valuable if you’re interested in building a full-time scavenger life.

5. Ask Jordan Podcast. Jordan Malik of Honest Online Selling offers a short (usually 15 minutes or less) podcasts in a Q&A format. He answers questions about selling online through Amazon and eBay. I’ve learned and implemented a lot of information from Jordan’s podcasts and the books he sells on Amazon.

Do you have a favorite business podcast? What is it and why do you like it? Let me know in the comments or get in touch on Facebook or Twitter.
