Using the Information – Real Magic Wrap Up

Through June and July I read is Real Magic by Wayne Dyer (affiliate link). You can read my thoughts and share your own at each post:

Week 1 – Releasing Limited Beliefs

Week 2 – Beyond Cause and Effect

Week 3 – Acting As If

Week 4 – Real Magic Within Relationships

Week 5 – Prosperity Consciousness vs Scarcity Consciousness

Week 6 – Personal Identity

Week 7 – Prepare to Suffer or Prepare to Heal

Week 8 – Putting Magic into the Real World

For a long time whenever I read a self-help book I would have the best intentions of using the information but then it would be forgotten as I got back into my real, day-to-day life. Reading this book and blogging about it kept me focused. It kept me from forgetting about the book and it allowed me to find just one thing to talk about and use from the information I read. A few years ago I read that another blogger always tries to use at least one thing from a book she’s read, so I decided to adopt that strategy.

I read back over my blog posts and I’ll be putting together a program made from a lot of little things I’ve read from here, there and everywhere. This program came to me a few years back but I’ve never organized it in any real way. That’s my goal for the next few months.

The main themes I received from this book were:

Be open to new possibilities.

Act as if.

Practice daily meditation.

Love without judgement. See people as God sees them – healthy, prosperous and living their dreams.

There is nothing wrong with me. I don’t need to be fixed.

I am worthy.

Prepare to heal.

Give love away.

As I mentioned in one of my last posts, I’m preparing to heal. I’m working on my belief on that. I told my husband during our camping trip this past weekend that it was easier to believe in ghosts, UFOs and little green spacemen than to believe in spontaneous, natural healing for me. But that’s something I’m going to be working on over the next few months as well as I develop this program.

Have you read Real Magic? What did you get from the book? Are you ready to use the information within your own life? Let me know in the comments or get in touch on Facebook or Twitter.
