Syncing Photos with DropBox and using Wappwolf

To save time in taking pictures for eBay, I have all of my camera photos synced to my Dropbox account. This way I don’t have to connect my phone or a camera to the computer, download the pictures, crop them, and so on. The syncing saves some time, but on the backend I still have to download the pictures I’m going to use. I then have to crop them or resize them for eBay. So I was trying to find a solution to the resizing issue. I found Wappwolf and I’ve been using their free service for about 2 weeks now. Wappwolf allows you to “automate your Dropbox”. They made a video to explain how it works.

What I did was assign a file in my Dropbox (Ebay Photos) an automated rule. I asked Wappwolf to downsize the photos for me. I’m still on the free plan, so it will apply the rule to up to 10 photos for me. I’m not sure how well it’s working. I still have to go into the file and downsize the rest of the photos. Even the ones that Wappwolf has downsized still need to be cropped and sometimes they’re still too big. I still need to download the pictures I’ll be using and change the name of the file, so I don’t know how much time it’s actually saving me.

But I do highly recommend using DropBox to sync your eBay photos. Since they’re already on the computer they’re easy to find and get processed right away.

Have you used Wappwolf or a service like it? What did you think? Let me know in the comments or get in touch on Facebook or Twitter.
